About the producer
Albert and Frances Lundberg moved to the Sacramento Valley in 1937; their four sons started the company in 1960 and a third generation took over in 1987.
The family test-planted its first organic rice crop in 1969 and began selling under its own name in 1972. Homer Lundberg helped found California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) in 1973.
Rice is grown and milled at Richvale, about 85 miles north of Sacramento.
