What they grow

Mission olives, Manzanillo olives, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar.

About the olive oil

The Bariani family emigrated from Lombardy, Italy, to Sacramento in 1990 and began pressing oil from the small orchard around their home; the business says it has been family owned and operated since 1991.

Angelo Bariani built his own press, and the family now grows Mission and Manzanillo olives on about 262 acres in Zamora; the sons run the orchards, production, shipping and sales.

The balsamic vinegar is made from zinfandel and cabernet grapes grown in Yolo County and aged in wooden casks.
